Wedding with Kimberlea Bass Photography

I was a 2nd shooter for a wedding for Kimberlea Bass Photography.

http://www.kkbphotography.com

I love 2nd shooting with Kimberlea. It allows me to try new stuff and experiment with no flash, etc. This bride & groom were married at the Bell Gable Chapel in Fayetteville. LOVE that place. It's the place that Doug & I want to re-new our vows at. It's perfect. I love the ladies that run the place! They come to belly dance classes and they are just a hoot!

Thanks Kimberlea for hiring me this past weekend. I also get to shoot a wedding with her this coming Saturday as well!

Joe & Mischelyn's Wedding

I had the honor of photographing Joe & Mischelyn's wedding on Sunday, May 4th. They were married at the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs. It was a beautiful day out. Just perfect! Joe is a photographer in Fayetteville. He owns Creative Fotoworks and he asked if I could photograph his wedding. How could I turn down another photographer? I knew it would be fun. Other photographers that get married are the most laid back people to photograph....and they were awesome! Thanks Joe & Mischelyn!

These were taken by Colleen who assisted me at the wedding. She did a fantastic job of capturing some really unique moments!

And a wedding at the Crescent Hotel will be incomplete w/out some kind of "ghost" photo. Colleen wanted to "hunt" for ghosts so she took several images of just random hallways in the Hotel. I'm sure some of you may see the orbs and some of you may see "reflections" - you be the judge!

HOW CUTE are these?

I found this website today....Colleen and I have been talking about how much fun it would be to re-new vows with our husbands. We were talking about how we could do this together and share expenses of a fun party. We're so silly but when I started thinking about it....gosh - it could be a lot of fun!

I'd SO wear one of those dresses!

Now what?

At springfest. Taken by Colleen.

I feel a bit lost. I took my last HUGE test today. I have one smaller test on Monday morning that I'm not even worried about. I feel a bit lost without the stress and the studying. I'm sitting here at the house thinking "now what am I going to do?" Yes, work on photos, book fun shoots, take Amelia to the park.....all those fun things. I felt like the added stress of school really fueled a lot of my activities.

I'm relieved but still feeling a bit lost. I imagine I'll feel like that for a few days. I really am ready for the summer. I'm a bit sad to say good bye to the semester but excited about what is in store for the fall semester.

Today was Mr. Harington's last day to teach art survey. You can visit his website here: http://www.donaldharington.com/ He is an AMAZING author. I have read some good books but his are really something else! If you haven't had the chance to read his works, I highly recommend it!

April showers bring May flowers

Look at what my sweet husband bought me! A new car!

The golden hour. I love the hour during sunset....the gold off of the sun is cool. Asked Amelia to stand still for just a minute so I could get the gold on her.

This is from yesterday's storm.

From this morning, I always carry my little point & shoot everywhere.

I went to Ft. Smith last night and photographed a wedding for Janet Hudson-Schroeder: http://www.jhsphotos.com/ ... I had a great time! Bride was really nice and fun! Here are a few from the wedding. I just got the awesome Nik filters so I played around in photoshop with some of the Nik filters.

Portfolio Submission

So I was asked to submit 15 images for review for a photography magazine. This is one of the images I sent in. I sent in a variety of different people. Since I mainly photograph people, I wanted my portfolio to reflect that.

I leave in an hour to photograph a wedding for Janet Hudson-Shroeder. I can't wait!

And.....I did 100 sit-ups/crunches today. Tomorrow I'm going to do lunges. My 15 year high school reunion is this July and I need to look good. he he he

Thanks!

I love the weekends! Spending time with Amelia, Doug & the pets is great!

Thanks to everyone who has sent emails or posted comments about the photos I have taken. I love the "love!" ;-) I really enjoy photography and just love to photograph people. I think I have my 15 images that I am submitting to the magazine. This is such a hard decision on what to send. How does a person sum up their work in 15 images? Gosh, this was hard!

I signed up for yet another class for the fall. I'm now taking 17 hours in the fall! OH MY!

I have a huge wedding this Saturday in Ft. Smith to photograph. I'm excited! I can't wait to get back into the swing of things.

Doug and I are off to look at cars today. I looked all weekend and test drove several cars. I found a used Mazda RX-8 on Saturday. It is beautiful. But I have to think practically and think about warranties and what is covered. Oh man, I sure do have my heart set on that beauty but.....practical is the word - right? Someone convince me that I need practical over the beautiful RX-8!! zoom zoom zoom.....I can see me in it now! ....sigh.... Ok, I'll go test drive it again and then choose the practical car over the hot sexy car.

So when is it going to warm up? I'm so cold! It's mid-April and I'm freezing my toosh off!

Have a great day blog readers!

ONDA OK April Issue

I shot this for the April issue of ONDA OK magazine. She was a fun model for sure! It's always fun to take photos for the magazine.

I also picked up Citiscapes today and I have quite a few photos in it this month as well as last month. I always think it's neat to see your work in a magazine.

I went to Mr. Harington's retirement party today. I read one of his books and he's a very talented writer. If you get a chance to read one of his books....I highly recommend it.

And.....I am now officially signed up with 17 hours of school for the fall. OMG. I haven't 100% decided on a summer class or not.
