Youkta was an amazing dancer. She had a beautiful soul. She performed at shimmyfest in the past.

She was absolutely the best. No one could ever replace Youkta. You are so right, she had a beautiful soul. The old gal Viktoras has with him now is hateful and mean-spirited. I read where someone tried to find out what actually happened to Youkta and and how she died, and this old gal 'Katharine Clark' kept intercepting the e-mails to Viktoras and began verbal abuse to the person and refusing to tell what really happened to Youkta. Sure sounds fishy to me. How sad that someone is so insecure that they would do something like that. Viktoras has to miss his Youkta so very much. She was so gracious and pretty, and she had so much talent and class.
Youkta was a beautiful friend, soul & being...and always will be. Her dance and movements always left me breathless. Her...as well as Viktoras & Katherine Clark are dear friends of mine. Katherine is not "with" Viktoras as Chan stated. Nor is she an "old gal" rather...looks 20 years younger than her age due to her lifestyle choices and vibrant nature. She was with Youkta as she transitioned...and an incredible soul of support for her as they have been best friends for many years. It should be know that Viktoras has the highest level of gratitude and respect for Katherine as well. Vihara Youkta is -=:everywhere:=- Now. A Beloved gift to the Universe. I'll close by sharing a poem I wrote for her Memorial. --==::peaceful vibrations::==--
i don't know about what chan or d.s. said, but the way mr. viktoras selectively withheld information about ms. youkta's death has made my friends and me rethink certain aspects of the raw food movement.
when i die, i want people to be completely honest and open about the cause with everyone (not just a select few) and not try to sweep it under the carpet in any way. :-(
it's been over a year since ms. youkta's transition. i know she's doing fine. ;-)
Oh my goodness. Please email and tell me what you know about my long time friend from New England days, Youkta. Youkta and I were together at a yoga event in 2005, knew they were intending to relocate, hadn't heard from her since. Now I read Rest in Peace.

IN EVERY DREAM
we close our eyes and through the tears
we see your flowing dance
with gratitude for all the years
our love did so advance
you touched our life with precious glow
and graces so divine
yet now you fly with all we know
so sacred was the time
so many touched within your light
and stars held in your hand
it shall remain your aura bright
carressing all the land
for all the souls that you did guide
will carry what you brought
embracing love with you inside
to teach what has been sought
so blessed by you in moments shared
to honor your sweet heart
for everything in friends you cared
we'll never be apart
to spread the wealth and lift the air
by nature you command
are memories of beauty fair
so Goddess-like and grand
for now the trees and oceans tide
will whisper of your scent
as we are One and side by side
so peaceful in ascent
yes you we love our Youkta dear
for thee we dance supreme
as angels sing and we will hear
your voice in every dream
