Cell Phone Pictures!

I always seem to forget that I have photos on my cell phone! I figured I'd post what I had on there. I deleted a bunch off my phone but this is what was left....

This was after a long day at Epcot! Amelia had her face painted!

Cousins!

Amelia with Sheba!

Ah, this is when I lived in Fayetteville. Duane and I were on the same bus line. We were coming home from school and the freaking Razorback transbit broke down and would be a long time before someone would come get us or fix the bus! So Duane and I ended up walking. We were on the Wedington bridge crossing 540. Good times! I sure do miss those days!

Ha ha ha...I forgot about this one! One of the many police calls that my ex would make. It was almost a weekly thing. I would look at him the wrong way and he'd call the cops. HA HA HA!! This one was at a Dr's appt and he went psycho because our daughter was there. Fun times!

A fun day at Chuck E. Cheese. I will admit - I love their pizza!

This is me with straight hair and with curly hair. I get the best of both worlds! I can straighten it or I can let it go curly!

Our cat pinky is constantly laying around the house exactly like this. It's funny!

Obama?

I've never been big into politics. It's my least favorite thing to cuss & discuss. It's driving me INSANE. Campus was all a buzz today.

In Spanish class, we watched the inauguration in spanish of course.

I think the whole thing is weird.

I could care less if he's black, white, orange, purple. Who cares. Just get Bush out and get someone in who can do at least 1/10 of a better job than Bush. Everyone is making such a big deal about the fact that he's black. UGH. Enough already. Seriously? Ok, I didn't live in the 50's/60's and had to go thru all that jazz. Great, we are past it already. Obviously we have moved on. We have a black president. Great. BUT what the frick is the big deal?? People are worshipping him like he's God. They are crying and having mini heart attacks over him. Seriously people. He's not God. He's not anything special. I will say that he is articulate. He speaks better than Bush. NOW let's see if he does a better job than Bush. People are praising him and would probably lick his ass if they could BUT he hasn't even been in the office for a day. Let's give him some time to prove what he can do for our country. He hasn't proved sh*t yet! I'm not going to sit here and be happy, cry and act crazy until this guy can prove that he's worth something.

I'm so over the whole Obama thing.

Changing over.

I've created this blog:

http://glamgirlphotography.wordpress.com/

This will be all about boudoir photos and other photography.

I am now making THIS blog that you are reading all about life. Just a journal for friends & family to keep up with what is going on in my life!

Performance. Reading. Stuff. Communication

I took Amelia to Toys R Us & Barnes and Noble so she could spend her gift cards. She still has money on her cards so I'll take her again! She bought a book yesterday and read the entire book yesterday. I can hardly keep up with her reading obsession but I'm so happy that she LOVES to read. It's amazing. She also got the coolest Junie B. Jones book!

Justin has agreed to work on a duet with me for shimmyfest in July. We are getting started asap. Got to pick out music, routine, then costumes! What fun!

I've had several people e-mail and ask if my the bounced child support was ever taken care of. YES. And the bank charges were paid which thoroughly surprised me. The humorous part for me was receiving an e-mail stating that we should keep the lines of communication open. I've been screaming that for the last 3 years and then he throws it in my face when he's embarrassed at a bounced check. For THREE years I have been saying "we should be communicating" and when I say that I get this response "DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ME." I think I have received that e-mail sentence more than I can count. Like right now, I need to ask him a question about what he considers to be the 1st weekend of the month because it kinda runs into each other. I can't ask. I will get barked at with "DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ME." So I have to guess which day I'll be driving to the drop-off point. It's ever so frustrating. And if I messed up the weekend because he won't communicate, he will call the police and say I'm not following the decree. It's messed up really bad folks. If I can ever give advice on divorce - communicate. Not about life but just about the kids. You know? There's so much more but I'm not going to get into it. It's basically the same ol' stories you hear from most. Stupid games, no communication, refusal to email, blah blah blah blah. And what is the MOST saddest part of all....I travel to Fayetteville time to time and I can't even call or email him to say "hey your daughter is in town." I get to hear this: "DO NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ME." Talk about messed up.

So yeah......frustrating huh? LOL......All I can do is laugh about it because what is the point of getting mad?

Looks like I'm going to insurance school during spring break. I'll be getting my license to sell insurance. I'll be the official jack of all trades, thank you. HA! My boss and his wife are expecting their 1st baby in April so I need to get a license to help him out. I work at the office about 10 hours each week. I really love the job. It's so much fun.

I ordered more Ben Nye makeup. I have several photoshoot ideas in the works. I'm really stoked about the "blue" project. I have most of the pieces for this shoot. Just waiting on the blue body paint.

School. Working out. Food

I gotta turn this tummy into a washboard! It's my goal for July!! Who's with me? Anyone else want to take the challenge?

Classes started today! I only have one class on Monday/Wednesday. It's my costume design class. I couldn't be more thrilled about this class. Seriously! We get to learn how to sew. Our 1st project is a bag. Our final project is anything we want to make. We get to pick the pattern and material. Don't tell me that because I will go nuts! I'll probably end up making some kind of renaissance costume. HA!

I also just checked out my online courses. I was signed up for 2. I dropped one of the classes. I thought it would be too much with college math and spanish. I'm so close to graduating, I can taste it! Makes me want to cry thinking of everything I have gone through to get to this point in my life. It's a good, happy cry.

So this morning I went to the gym. I told myself that once I was back into the school routine, I'd be back into the gym routine. So I got to the gym at 7:45 am and did 30 minutes of weight loss cardio, 100 crunches and about 10 minutes of step aerobics. I think I did too many crunches because right now I'm feeling it. yuck. But I have 7 months to get in the most fabulous shape of my life. I'll be dancing a solo at shimmyfest and I want a stomach so rock hard you can wash clothes on it. No more pudge. I'm OVER it. Today is the day to take charge of my pudge and make it rock solid. Who knows....maybe I'll enter some kind of contest for rock hard bodies. HA! Never know!

So I stopped by the cafeteria at the school today. I had lunch with Justin. We both ordered veggie burgers thinking it might be the better option. I was standing there talking to Justin and I saw the cook put the veggie burgers in the deep fryer with the french fries!! OMG, I just worked off a crapload of calories this morning and now I'm going to eat a greasy veggie burger. GAH. I won't lie. I ate it and OMG - it was FABULOUS but I'm not ordering it ever again - deep fried veggie burgers? What's next???!

Dallas. Justin. Celine Dion.

O. M. G.

Justin called me on Sunday the 4th and said "hey, want to fly to Dallas and see Celine Dion tomorrow??" HUH? What?

Sure!

So Justin's friend that gave him the birthday gift of Celine Dion couldn't make it so he called me. He switched airline tickets to my name. We stayed at the Crowne Plaza and we got to see Celine Dion.

Justin is Celine's biggest fan. No doubt, hands down her BIGGEST FAN ever. I like her music but I'm not a big fan like Justin. When I say he's the biggest fan - it's an understatement.

We got to American Airlines arena and if you have ever been in there.....there are nosebleed seats and then there are NOSEBLEED - where your nose doesn't bleed anymore because you are up so high. So high, we were against the wall -- last row!! But the cool thing - it was a great spot to sit!

Justin was in hysterics when Celine Dion came out. HYSTERICS -- he screamed like a 12 year old girl and ran up and down the stairs screaming "I love you Celine!!!!!!!!" He was crying, hyperventilating, singing, dancing, crying some more and he was just in pure bliss! I stood and fanned him off for about 2.5 hours so he wouldn't pass out.

After the show was over, audience folks lined up to have their picture made with Justin. LOTS of folks. They said that he made their night. He was a celebrity that night in his own right!! HE was and IS the super fan!!!!

As we came down the escalator, Justin yelled at about 500 people standing in line to buy t-shirts. He said "did you have a good time?" The entire crowd ERUPTED in cheers. I thought he was going to start a riot. WHAT A FREAKING BLAST. This is an experience I will NEVER forget! Thank you Justin for thinking of me!!!! LOVE YOU MY BFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas, the circus, birthdays and more!

Christmas at my mom's house in Gentry!

Trashy Christmas at Shawn's house! She was gracious hostess and let us party down at her home in Springdale!! We wore our trashiest/uglies Christmas sweaters we could find. We ate till we almost burst. We played trashy games (dirty minds). AND we exchanged trash gifts. I got that green necklace among other used goodies such as lots of Jesus pendants. Love it!! HA HA HA.....it was quite hilarious to see all the trashy gifts.

This is Christmas day at the nursing home. I brought Amelia to the Siloam Springs nursing home at 8:30am. We passed out reindeer candy canes that we made all week. 150of them! Amelia and I went door to door and gave out candy canes to all the residents. Then we played morning bingo with the residents, drank hot chocolate and then Amelia got to pass out the prizes. It was a great Christmas morning! My mom works there and is the activities director.

This is Amelia with her grandpa. This is funny to me....her name is spelled wrong on the cake. HA HA.......

Amelia opening her gift from grandma. Reading the gift card and then realizing it's a $100 gift card that she can spend anywhere!! Grandma's sure do like to spoil!!

My mom had a birthday party for Amelia at her house. Celebrated Amelia's birthday and Christmas on the same day. This is Amelia opening her present from me. A pink camera! She wanted one SO bad.

Walmart is across the street from our house....well thru the woods. Anyways Amelia and I saw the coolest bell ringer. We also bought a toy for the fire dept that was rounding up toys for Christmas.

This was from the last ice storm. Doesn't look like a lot but it was SLICK! We took the old radio flyer wooden sled with rails to our driveway. We had so much fun sliding down the drive!

I cannot remember if I ever posted this but I was going thru some photos on my computer. This was moving day. We moved to Little Rock from Fayetteville in August 2008. Wal-Mart brought their big moving van and a lot of guys to move our stuff. It was fantastic!

Doug took me to see the Ringling Brothers at Alltell arena. We had floor seating front row. It was a fun show to see. I don't really care for the "live" animals that they use but it is the circus after all. I really enjoyed the guy on his many bicycles...this one was his tiny bicycle. He was funny!!

Got to see the most awesome double rainbow the other day. Rainbows are such a fast occurance that getting my big camera out to document it would have meant that I would have missed the rainbow. Grabbed my point & shoot and ran outside. I couldn't get the 2nd rainbow in the shot but it was cool either way!

...Tis' the season to be broke!

So I was telling a few friends about my bounced child support checks recently. Everyone has said "blog it, it's the same thing a grocery store would do by putting your name up on the wall." Well....I definitely don't want to put names up on the internet, I will be nicer.

I deposited 2 checks, both bounced and of course I am charged at my bank. 3rd check came in the mail and I went to Arvest bank today and the lady told me there weren't enough funds to cash the check.

Tis' the season to be broke! It's a good thing Doug and I know how to save money and we balance the check book daily. Child support checks usually go into Amelia's savings, glad we didn't do it this time because I only balance her savings once a month.

Silent Migraine

Info from this website: http://www.relieve-migraine-headache.com/silent-migraine.html

For years I've been dealing with a mysterious problem. Years of frustration. Years of not knowing what the heck is wrong.

I get SILENT MIGRAINES!!!!!! What the.....never have heard of that but I finally have figured out what is going on. A nurse - of ALL people told me I had migraine aura. Doctors couldn't figure it out....it was the nurse!!!!! I had a horrendous silent migraine today. No headache just all the crazy symptoms. Today I was dealing with horrendous vertigo, nausea, pressure in my back/head/neck/eyes, weird eye spots and an overall pain. I always forget what is going on with me and then "duh...migraine." Easily fixed with an Advil migraine pill. Ugh! At least I know!

----------------------------
Silent migraine is one name for a type of migraine attack that doesn't include a headache. As strange as it may sound, it's actually not all that unusual. Over the years, silent migraine has gone by other names, including acephalgic migraine, sans-migraine, migraine equivalent, eye migraine, visual migraine, ocular migraine, painless migraine or simply migraine aura without headache. Today it's usually called migraine aura without headache.

Migraine aura is a term used to describe many of the other symptoms that go along with migraine, but it's usually referring to visual symptoms. This might include seeing zig zags or flashing lights, or having dizziness or vertigo. It's estimated that only about 15% of migraineurs deal with aura. There are actually a host of possible symptoms that can hit, usually before a headache stage, such as slurred speech, numbness, pain in other parts of your body such as in the face or on the skin, and ringing in the ears.

Interestingly, migraine aura without headache more often occurs later in life, and more often in men than in women.

As you may imagine, with so many symptoms in silent migraine, it's prone to misdiagnosis. Sure, if you were to get a one-sided headache, or any headache, migraine might be suspected. But without the headache stage, the migraine diagnosis is often missed.

I recently read an article by a patient who was first told he had had a mini-stroke, then he was diagnosed with things like hypoglycemia, meniere's disease (an inner ear disorder), depression, fibromyalgia and myofascial pain! It's easy for silent migraine to be mistaken for many other diseases - and that's no help to the patient.

Even those who get "normal" migraine can get silent migraine from time to time. It's estimated that 20% of migraineurs have had a silent migraine. Of course, it's easier for someone with a history of migraine to recognize the symptoms.

Silent migraine has not gotten a lot of specific press, probably because it's often simply lumped in with other migraine. Most of the migraine books I own don't specifically mention it in the index by any name, although they do talk about it here and there. This can make it pretty frustrating for the patient looking for information.

Birthday!

We had a little gathering for Amelia's 9th birthday. Invited Doug's family and 2 of my friends from school to come out and celebrate. We got the cake from Mickey's which is the best cake I have EVER had! OMG - scrumptious! I cooked 10 lbs of potatoes, 3 london broils, 4 lbs of glazed carrots, dinner rolls, 2 lbs of stuffing, and cranberry sauce. I also had chocolate raspberry dip with apples and graham crackers. And put out red velvet cake balls as well as chocolate covered pretzels. Homemade goodies! We had 17 people over here. Amelia had a great time playing with the kids and opening gifts! It was a great birthday!

The 3 of us!

My new BFF's. Silver, me and Justin. They are theater majors. Coolest guys you'll ever meet!

And unfortunately Justin was in a car wreck. A lady going thru the stoplight couldn't decide whether to go or stop when the light turned yellow. She hit the gas and went through the red light and in turn hit Justin. This was at the light next to our house. Doug's cousin called when they left our house and said "I think one of your party guests was in a wreck." I called Justin and he sounded pitiful. Sara and I jumped in the car and drove down the driveway and sure enough Justin was sitting down with a head injury. Silver was there. The police called an ambulance.

Justin is fine. Thank God! He just has a big bump and a massive headache. It could have been worse. So much worse. His poor suv is messed up. The front axle is bent. The CV joints busted and the radiator is broke. Silver and I were able to drive it back up to my house and we have it parked in my lot. Not sure if the car can be fixed.

Things like this just really open your eyes. Make sure to tell everyone you love them before they leave the house. It could be your last time seeing them. Justin's wreck really got me to thinking about taking all of my friends and family for granted. To all my family and friends - I love you!!!!!!!
