The House

Well....as some of you know....Doug & I backed out of the house we were going to purchase in Springdale. Nothing was wrong with the house, it was way cute! But the loan company was a pain in my a$$! They were taking too long and they were slow. They kept writing up extensions on the closing date and we were getting too impatient. They had to do some searches on the property and values....it turned to be a big mess so we decided to forget about it. Well apparently that made the realtor REALLY angry! He yelled at Doug and said he wasted time and money on us...uhh....well we were going to continue to look for another house that wasn't a re-po house. Note to self: Don't buy a re-po house! It is a nightmare! So forget that whole deal! DANG! Note to self again: Don't get a realtor. Buy a "for sale by owner" house.
So on Sunday Doug & I are going over to look at a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 car garage house in Pea Ridge. I know - it's far away but our house payment will be nice and it's a nice home. So we'll go from there. This is not through a realtor either!! Hmpf!

Well I signed up for classes for the fall. So far I am signed up for Art History, Graphic Design I, and Photography I (isn't that funny?) but photo I is a requirement for my major. I need to add 1 more class....I'm debating on color studies or astronomy. Both are requirements. Blech! I'm definitely leaning towards a bachelor of fine arts with emphasis on art education.

Fun Sunday

My friend Lucy invited me to go with her boyfriend and his kids to the Turpentine Creek tiger refuge in Eureka Springs. We met up with them at the Mud Street Cafe in downtown Eureka. If you have never eaten there, I highly recommend it! They have the best cheesecake ever!!! After lunch we went to Turpentine Creek. After about 10 minutes one of Lucy's boyfriends kids fell and busted his head so they took him to the doctor for a look. He turned out just fine but he has a rather "pretty" knot on his forehead. If you have never been to Turpentine Creek - it's really neat to see. I highly recommend it and if you go, make sure to read the stories about each tiger. They give tours of the property and natural habitats as well. Keep in mind that the tigers like to spray humans as their way of "joking" around.....I got sprayed as soon as I walked in and 2 ladies on our tour were sprayed. Funniness! What's a trip without some tiger spray? HA!!!

The tiger "Hercules" - he's the 1st tiger you see when you go to Turpentine Creek Tiger refuge. He decided to greet me with a spray so now I can offically say that I've been sprayed by a tiger. He got my left arm as I was running away. Bad Hercules! HA!

Studio Space - I move in May 1st

I'm moving into a studio space on May 1st. I will be in the other 1/2 of Stage 28 in Fayetteville. I am sharing the studio space with Chris Bray (www.zenandjuice.com), Jay, and Stone Ridge Photography (www.stoneridgephotographers.com) My main focus will be boudoir/glamour/nudes/lingerie work. I am booking weddings through Stone Ridge Photography, so if you need me to shoot your wedding, contact Mark or Dana at Stone Ridge. You may also see me 2nd shooting at weddings for Kimberlea Bass or David Yerby.

Michelle modeled for my computers & art class. I am making a poster that says "Nobody rides for free" -- I wanted a fun poster that had a motorcyle and a gorgeous girl on the bike. I think Michelle is so hot and made the photo that much better!

3D design class

So I had to make a sculpture using natural items and changing the texture of something else. I chose the staircase to Gibson Annex. Here are 2 photos of what the outcome was!

Album Designs

Album designs! I've been working on an album design for another photographer - Lori. I've also worked on an album design for one of my brides that got married in Cozumel. I love to make albums! If you're interested in an album, let me know! I also design for other photographers. If you have your photos and want me to design your album - I just need the permission of your photographer to make it for you!

I have a few new photos of myself working. Photos are done by Sam Pervis of Siloam Springs. He took a nice "bio" photo that I will use on my bio page once my new website is launched. I'm so excited about my new website. It's going to be so magnificently girly - I can't wait! I love everything girly!! My 32nd year on this earth!

Oh my Doug is a sweet sweet man! I was ill last week and had to cancel my birthday party and I was bummed out. I told Doug that all I really wanted was cake and to hang out with friends. Well.....he called all of my friends and family and invited them to the karate place, where I teach belly dance, and they all came to surprise me for my birthday! He had a cake with a belly dancer on it, chips and drinks. I was so surprised. He is so thoughtful! I had a good time hanging out with my friends and chit chatting.
